The Fault in Our Stars movie production update!

Check it out on Hypable!

An excerpt:

“The book I most want to do right now, because I’m the closest being ready to do it, is The Fault in Our Stars,” Godfrey told us. “It is the best book, it makes you rip your guts out, it makes you want to go out and live a better life. I love it, I can’t wait to make it.”

“I’m producing it, Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, who wrote 500 Days of Summer, wrote the script – it’s brilliant. I’m getting ready to hire a director, we’ve got all the actresses you would ever want to be in it want to play Hazel Grace. So I’m excited about that.”

I love you, Wyck, but only Augustus gets to call her Hazel Grace.

Isaac: Augustus Waters was a self-aggrandizing bastard. But we forgive him. We forgive him not because he had a heart as figuratively good as his literal one sucked, or because he knew more about how to hold a cigarette than any nonsmoker in history, or because he got eighteen years when he should've gotten more.
Augustus Waters: Seventeen.
Isaac: I'm assuming you've got some time, you interupting bastard.
Isaac: I'm telling you, Augustus Waters talked so much that he'd interupt you at his own funeral. And he was pretentious: Sweet Jesus Christ, that kid never took a piss without pondering the abundant metaphorical resonances of human waste production. And he was vain: I do not believe I have ever met a more physically attractive person who was more acutely aware of his own physical attractiveness.
Issac: But I will say this: When the scientists of the future show up at my house with robot eyes and they tell me to try them on, I will tell the scientists to screw off, because I do not want to see a world without him.

Coloured version of this, it says my thoughts are stars I can’t fathom into constellations (it actually says cannot instead of can’t since I’m still not quite sure how one makes apostrophes in gallifreyan), a quote taken from the wonderful book The Fault in Our Stars by the awesome John Green. I scanned it (right pic) but it looks way too bright, so have a photo as well. Thoughts?

reflectingpond:

I actually like the Swedish cover and title of The Fault in Our Stars (or, rather, Sooner or Later I Will Explode) better than their American counterparts, so I took the Swedish cover and translated the text on it. As soon as I get a larger image size, I’m going to make this into a new cover for my copy of the book.

I made a TFIOS Blanket!  Crochet pattern based on one of my favorite novels, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, and the fabulous fan art (second picture) that I saw at one point and blatantly copied.

And then I made my dad model it.  So there’s that.
